We analyze the content and meaning of the agreements signed between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, in Moscow (1972) and in Washington, D.C.. (1973). We try to answer the questions about what type of international relations between the two superpowers regulate the Moscow and Washington Accords; what is the meaning of these Agreements for the United States, for the Soviet Union and for the other countries of the planet; If these treaties will be the beginning of a new era in the history of international relations and world politics, or will they constitute a means to consolidate the status quo of dominant countries and dominated countries; and, lastly, whether the benefits of the policies that inspire these Agreements between the superpowers will be extended to the underdeveloped world.
