Who submits your thesis, must present the title, abstract, key words (include Occupational Therapy), and a summary of 2 to 3 pages of your thesis. And `present it in Spanish, English and / or Portuguese.

Occupation and meaing as influencing agent in the personal identity

Abstract

In the frame of our actual paradigm this paper analyzes some factor of the importance of "doing" in the human being since his or her perspective. This analysis has great importance as for Occupational Scientist as for Occupational Therapist who gives treatment to people who have threaten or damage their occupational performance.

It emphasis in the "purpose and meaning" components of Occupation and it analyzes their influences and interpretations and how through of two components it creates different occupational forms.

In this process it produces a continue feedback that affect the individual value as in the personal as a participant of a social group. Through "doing" and it result the human being form his or her self-concept and self-esteem, until finally to create her or her own identity and social identity. People take conscience of it through the relationship with others. The meaning of doing consolidates positively or negatively our identity, it is in relation to the life satisfaction, it is the key of our personhood.
